Planet Urine Review (+)
Filed Under Pet urine removal, Urine Off, Urine Removal, cat urine | Comments OffHello urine fretters,
Welcome to Urine Off Reviews again
on this beautiful Sunday (though somehow I doubt that it’s quite as beautiful to you since you’re probably looking to clean up Spot’s booboo). Today we’ll be reviewing a new brand of urine off product, the product by Planet Urine, the ProveIt kit.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
We liked this product. Why?
- The results were just immaculate.
- If the ProveIt kit worked, I only assume their other products are similar quality
- The company seems to be entirely focused around the problem of interest.
You can order it directly from their website. which I think also has their contact information.
WHAT IS IT
The ProveIt kit is PlanetUrine’s inexpensive basic kit for putting their urine cleaning expertise to the test. The basic kit runs a little more expensive than UrineGone, which has a previous Urine Off Reviews review. The product ships with a drum of PlanetUrine’s proprietary UrineOut Powder, a misting bottle to release soil, and a scrubbing brush. For a few dollars more you can get a blacklight which, like the Urine Gone product, illuminates Urine stains.
HOW IT WORKS
Planet Urine took a different approach to the problem than our previous entries. The powder is a mas of microsponges that suck in the urine that has been pre-wetted with their soil-release formula. I’ll be happy to see if their vaunted nanotechnology actually works! The company claims to clean carpets/rugs, mattresses/bedding, furniture/upholstery, concrete, subfloors, hardwood floors, ceramic tiles, and leather upholstery.
OBSERVATIONS/RESULTS
The wifey and I took the kit to a friend’s house that had recently suffered from a spate of urinations by their pet cat who historically has poor bladder control. Down in the basement we found plenty of old stains to work with and got to work. Now, as far as convenience goes, it wasn’t great to have to lug all the different parts of this one to our friends’ house, and executing the test took a little longer because of the requirement to vacuum up the powder afterwards.
CONCLUSION
Afterwards, despite some small inconvenience, I found that the results were exceptionally stunning for both the old and new stains. On the carpet stain, the surface became visibly cleaner than the surrounding carpet and the cat urine odor, as promised, disappeared. I’ll be coming back in several weeks to update on whether that odor stayed gone.
WHAT TO LOOK FORWARD TO
We here at Urine Off Reviews have reviews in the works for many of the remaining products for cleaning urine, including Urine Off and ProKlean. That’s it, and we’re out!
EDIT: This product was really good. several days afterwards, the odor from the stain is still gone and the carpet is looking, honestly, better than even before the stain.
Summary of Pet Urine Removal Reviews
Filed Under Pet urine removal, Urine Odor Removal, Urine Off, Urine Removal | Comments OffDear Readers,
Today is just a brief post outlining the results that I’ve found in my perusal of the different consumer dog and cat urine removal systems out there. This overview will be updated and made more definitive frequently as Urine Off Reviews tests more and more products.
THE GOOD
- Scoe10x
- Environmentally friendly cat urine removal
- Thorough urine odor and stain removal
- Works on almost all other organic odors.
- Nice guarantee.
- Planet Urine
- Uses microsponges
- Thorough cleaning as well as odor removal
- Nice pricing
- Free blacklight
Through all the reviews I’ve done so far, I’ve found Planet Urine’s system, which utilizes microsponges to soak up dirt, to be tied for best with the Urine Gone system. The former was good because it really thoroughly cleaned, even though it required likewise thorough methods.
Here at Urine Off Reviews we also enjoyed using Urine Gone, which was a more classical enzymatic cleaner that, for whatever reason, outperformed the other enzymatic cleaners at the same time as minimizing cost to the consumer and providing a nice black light gratis for locating the urine stains throughout your house.
THE BAD
Two of the products I’ve reviewed really didn’t pass snuff when tested on the stains that my cat routinely leaves on the surfaces of my home. These two were Natures Miracle and ProKlean. The former is really difficult to understand because my impression is that it uses the same method of cleaning as Urine Gone! Nonetheless, understanding why is the companies problem and not my own.
THE UGLY
I would say that the homespun solution was a big loser in my barrage of cat urine removal tests. It was a hassle to assemble, imvolved many steps, and was only marginally cheaper on a per ounce basis than Urine Gone. Here at Urine Off Reviews, unless we find a better homespun solution we continue to suggest the commercial options. Feel free to contact me if you have identified a better homespun method for cleaning urine stains, and I’ll be happy to review it and pass it on to my readership.
I have really enjoyed (well as much as you can) testing out these various methods of urine stain removal, and look forward to really canvassing the topic for the sake of other consumers out there.
Nature’s Miracle Review, Pet Urine Removal(-)
Filed Under Pet urine removal, Urine Odor Removal, Urine Off, Urine Removal, cat urine | Comments OffHowdy urine-product investigators,
Today we at Urine Off Reviews extend our investigation of dog and cat urine removal products to an older remedy known as Nature’s Miracle. Nature’s Miracle has been around from a long time and receives distribution not only online, but also from Petsmart (if you prefer not to buy off of the internet). With no further ado, the review!
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
We used a bottle of Nature’s Miracle on a cat urine stain on my white cotton pants. Nature’s Miracle was no cat urine removal remedy for either the stain or the odor. Subsequent usage of Urine Gone treated both stain and odor quite well.
ABOUT NATURE’S MIRACLE
Much like Urine Gone, Nature’s Miracle urine off agent is an enzyme-based solution (as opposed to Planet Urine’s more nano-sponge based approach). As a quick recap, these enzyme-based solutions kill the odor by attacking the organic molecules in your animal’s urine that cause the odor. An added benefit is that such enzymatic cleaners will cleave the smelling proteins of the bacteria in your animal’s urine.
When purchased through brick&mortar stores like Petsmart, this product can be pretty expensive, so you may want to crawl the internet for a deal if you decide upon this product.
The product comes in a single 24oz spray bottle.
TEST
We bought this product a little while ago, but hadn’t had a chance to test out until last weekend when I found myself in the uneasy situation of having my careless cat urinate on my white cotton pants. Though usually I woud just run the pants through the wash a few times, I found it to be a fine chance to test Nature’s Miracle which also, I would soon learn, would impart a lasting natural citrus scent on top of the smell of urine.
RESULTS
We at Urine Off Reviews found this product to be insufficient. As I’ve read in previous criqtiques of enzyme-based solutions, I found that the solution neither removed the stain (off-white splotch on the pants) nor the odor entirely, though it did mask it with an otherwise pleasant natural citrus scent. Now, a week later, I applied Urine Gone, another enzymatic cleaner, and found it to work just fine!
CONCLUSION
Nature’s Miracle made no friends over here at Urine Off Reviews. This could be due to all sorts of reasons, but my guess is that the “cat urine removal” product was originally meant for different kinds of stains and the makers decided to side-market it for urine stains. We continue with our opinion that Urine Gone and Planet Urine’s products really take the cake among dog and cat urine removal systems.
ProKlean Review, Pet Urine Removal (-)
Filed Under Pet urine removal, Urine Odor Removal, Urine Off, Urine Removal, cat urine | 1 CommentDear visitor, if you’re concerned with dog and cat urine removal, you’ve found yourself at the right place by visiting Urine Off Reviews.
Today we’ll be reviewing another product: the ProKlean Cat Urine cleaner.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
We found the Super Cat Urine ProKlean product to be deficient on the cat urine stain in our living room. In contrast, we found that Urine Gone cleared the odor and the stain sufficiently for the aesthetic and nasal-aesthetic needs of our house.
ABOUT PROKLEAN
The ProKlean corporation supplies several dog and cat urine removal products for cleaning pet products, including (1) Blood Remover, (2) Leather Cleaner, (3) Prespotter, (4) “Super” Cat Urine Remover, (5) “Super” Dog Urine Remover (5) “Super” Mattress Cleaner (6) “Super” Pet Urine Remover, and the list really goes on.
As a referendum on the company, on the internet we found records of ProKlean’s spotty customer service , but the proof is in the pee, as they say, and how that pee is cleaned!
The product comes in a16oz spray bottle, and commands a higher price than either Urine Gone or Planet Urine, which we have already reviewed.
TESTING
Our impression is that most of the products utilize the same technology, so we took the Super Cat Urine product for a spin on a particularly nasty yellow stain under the couch in the living room. We found the stain only recently when we were repositioning the living room and the stain ended up in the center of the new configuration! Also, without the couch skirts to keep the odor underneath, it really stunk up a portion of the room. We thought this stain was a perfect opportunity to take Proklean for a spin. I sprayed the stain, watched a couple videos on youtube, and came back around twenty minutes later to scrub the carpet down.
RESULTS
Well, I would have to say we at Urine Off Reviews were disappointed with the cat urine removal properties of the ProKlean product. Although it was not tedious to use, the stain remained after the test and the odor still has not disappeared even though we applied the treatment several days ago.
CONCLUSION
Although the ProKlean website shows many satisfied customer, we here at Urine Off Reviews have got to respectfully disagree with them. Given the relatively high price, lack of useful accessories (blacklight?), and fundamental lack of performance of the product, we have to give a thumbs down. We continue to suggest either the Planet Urine products or the Urine Gone products.
Urine Gone Review (+)
Filed Under Pet urine removal, Uncategorized, Urine Odor Removal, Urine Off, Urine Removal, cat urine | 1 CommentConcerned urine remover,
Today we bring you the first Urine Off Reviews review on a dog and cat urine removal product. Today it’s Urine Gone™. This begins the start of the real theme here at Urine Off Reviews, and we hope you’ll benefit from it. With no further ado, Urine Gone.
WHAT IS IT
The product is an enzymatic dog and cat urine removal cleaner, meaning it contains stable chemicals that chop up the urine’s smell-causing agents (see my previous post on urine). Among these are the bacteria and nitrogenous waste. The product ships with the compound’s spray bottle and a black light that illuminates the extent of the stain (this can be particularly useful if the stain was old). The folks over at urine gone accept payment by phone or internet.
OBSERVATIONS/TESTING
First of all, I was impressed by the product’s packaging and the inclusion of a light that illuminates the stains. I think the human eye isn’t necessarily very good at that, particularly with old stains. Moreover, no other products even try to tackle this problem so points to these guys.
We tested this product on both old stains and new stains. First of all, the light succesfully identified both the old and new stain, the former of which was on carpet and the latter on concrete. Kudos to the company for the ingenuity in putting 2 and 2 together to make this a nice package. I also liked that this product is dispensed through a spray bottle, minimizing the blotting to be used afterwards. Despite claims to the contrary, the product thoroughly cleaned both the old and new stains (the former of which also was streaked with feces!) as well as removing the odor.
CONCLUSION
We here at Urine Off Reviews give this product an A+, if they could only make their website a little less intrusive ;).
WHAT’S COMING UP
We have a few more dog and cat urine removal interventions in the pipeline including Urine Off, Planet Urine, ProKleaners, and other backyard solutions, but that’s it for today! Urine Off Reviews, out.
